Cause and Effect of SUV Pollution
...somewhat of an American standard in today’s vehicular market. These massive cars can be seen thundering down any major highway in the US today. Americans have always been fascinated with always going one step further. Some SUV’s today can sit eight people and tow large boats or RV’s; these massive vehicles guzzle gas at an alarming rate, and increase air pollution. Environmentalist feels that SUV’s are polluting the air and causing other ecological disasters to occur. The air pollution is so bad in Hollywood that The Hollywood sign can no longer be seen from the city. They say that this is due to the explosion of SUV’s onto America’s roads between the late 90’s to the present. This has caused some Radical Environmentalist groups to set fire to Car dealerships that sell these big SUV’s in California, and has caused other groups to attack off shore oil rigs with high powered water cannons. They feel that with out taking action the government will not listen to them. However, it is ironic that they set fire to large SUV dealerships. Environmentalist says that they are not only increasing air pollution, they are increasing water pollution as well.
