Martin Luther King Jr. lead a meeting for blacks to stand up for themselves. They organized a boycott so that no black man or woman would ride the buses. Instead they would walk, bike, or car pool. The whites became very angry because they started to loose money. They had to cut the number of city buses, which caused the prices to rise for the whites. The white became very angry at the blacks. White men started to threaten black families by phone. They even went as far as bombing Kings house. The whites were loosing money fast.
