Kerry said President Bush “enacted a far-reaching ban on stem cell research.” Kerry, of course, is for stem cell research and he wants to go further in science and attempt to treat or cure Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, diabetes, AIDS and other life-threatening diseases. In actuality, Bush delivered the first funding for the research and announced he “will allow federal funding.” John Kerry wants to add 40,000 new troops to help our Special Forces capability in fighting the war and take soldiers out of Iraq. Bush continues to insist Page 2 troops need to be restructured overseas and continue on in Iraq. Vice President, Dick Cheney, said on behalf of George Bush that Iraq was improving, the buildings were being rebuilt, more people were voting and troops were broadening. John Edwards, vice president elect for John Kerry, retaliated by saying Iraq was a mess, cities were worse than before and people were being beheaded. It is now known that a majority of the new soldiers have in fact only been trained for three weeks. George Bush has forced many jobs overseas in an attempt to create more American jobs.
