global warming

...re by natural and man-made forest fires. In Spain, more than 2.2 million acres of forest have burned since 1994, due to increasingly warm temperatures. Changes in temperature and rainfall brought on by global warming will in turn change the composition of the forests and destroy them. In addition to temperature rise, evaporation rates will also increase which results in decreased rainfall in some areas like California and increased rainfall in others. Some regions experience reduced river flow and some regions will experience sudden and massive floods in the rivers of Mississippi and Missouri. Vast areas of cropland could lose topsoil and become man-made deserts. China is taking resolute measures to fight against man-made deserts created by human neglect. The Alaskan ice caps melt due to rising ocean temperature affecting the coastal regions, where half the human population lives and results in disappearance of large tracks of these lands. This also results in the vanishing of low-lying fertile deltas that support millions of people. The coastal cities would have to move farther inland away from the sea. Weeds and pests could increase in the landscape. On the other hand, forests and other wildlife habitats will not adjust to the rapidly changing climate and hence, many species of birds, butterflies and fishes are becoming extinct. The greenhouse effect and global warming both correspond with each other. The green house effect is the incoming solar radiation that passes through the earth's atmosphere but prevents much of the outgoing infrared radiation from escaping into outer space whereas the global warming refers to a long term rise in the average temperature of the earth. The natural gases in the greenhouse effect are water vapor, carbon dioxide (CO2), ozone (O3), as well as other trace gases tend to trap the sun's heat which is called global warming. Life could not exist if there was no natural greenhouse effect. The most important reason for building up of some gr...
