Inside, Scout feels that school is a horrible place and as a result, Scout begs her father if she could quit school and never go back. This shows that Scout is a person who loves to read and is willing to do almost anything for it. Further in the book, Scout and her brother are sent to an African-American church with Calpurnia. At the church, a black woman comes up to the children and Calpurnia and tells them that white people should not be allowed in their church.
