Reading about the split-brain operation and findings has left me with more questions about the brain. The second chapter reminds me of a particular part in the movie “The Matrix”. In the movie, Morpheus explains to Neo that machines harvest humans for energy because each person can produces energy like that of a nine volt battery. I did not believe it at all because it was just a movie. But in reading chapter two, about how neurons are electrically charged to pass on their messages, is making change my position about the movie. Maybe Neuroscientists are behind the scenes in this movie. It is an amazing fact that neurons are responsible for our behaviors and our actions. The use of drugs has given us the ability to control neurons and alter our perception of things. With those drugs people are able to get better and go along with their daily lives.
