Who is to Blame for Young People Committing Violent Acts
...part in a child’s behavior. During the first years of a child’s life they are learning from their parent, whether the adult is teaching them verbally, physically, directly, or indirectly. One of the problems is that some parents are no longer staying on track with what they have to teach their adolescents. Most parents start off right, telling you right from wrong, but many do not repeat or even mention these things. They also forget to go in depth with the situation. Consequently you have children teaching themselves, or learning from peers. The shows on television send numerous messages to young people. The messages are not necessarily bad but they are some times received the wrong way. The show Cops displayed criminals being caught by police. Michel Moore pointed out one of the messages received was that people of the criminal’s race were also like that. The problem is that most people receive the messages wrong way. If this were to stop, there would be less violent acts committed by children. Now take in to consideration that most of what the children have been seeing their whole life is violent. In the neighborhoods, the households are similar, so everyone has been witnessing the same thing. The kids have now taken form of bullies, jocks, and nerds, attending the same schools.
