...tar. I started writing my own songs right away. Definitely not something you would call hard or complicated by any means but it sounded decent, so I was happy. By about my 10th song or so though you could start noticing a considerable difference in my writing style. We also realized that with a band comes a singer. Well we didn’t know anyone and my voice wasn’t terrible so we decided to try it out. It must not have been too bad of an idea because I’m still the singer! I have improved quite a bit since I first started. My range has grown considerably and I sound a whole lot clearer than I did before. I have recently started taking vocal lessons. I have only had a couple of lessons though so there is definitely no considerable signs of change yet, but will be soon hopefully. Kephart 2 Being able to do these things has made my life a whole lot more enjoyable and exciting. If I ever feel down or in a slump, which believe me is quite a bit, I’ll just go to my room and start rocking out. I love the feeling of having the ability to play or sing whatever comes to my mind. If I feel depressed, I can play a happy song. If I feel happy, well, I can play a happy or exciting song. It’s all so relaxing too. There’s something about sitting down, picking up a guitar, and playing your heart out, or popping in a CD into your CD player and singing your lungs out.
