... people with a greater general knowledge tend to live richer, fuller lives. The constant mental demands at universities tend to sharpen minds which obviously yield more productive work in later life. Along with the wealth of knowledge that university education brings, it also allows individuals a healthy social interaction with people their own age at leisure. As we know man is a social animal and healthy EQ goes a long way in ones life. When I started my college I would say I was a very carefree person, my parents took care of me, so I never bothered to organize my own life. Being at college and constantly working on assignments, homework’s and projects made me stand on my own feet. I never knew the value of money till I started paying for tuition and books. The first two quarters were a great learning experience for me financially, but by the third quarter I learnt ways to save money and be more resourceful. My experience from college teaches me to be more responsible for my own actions and discipline myself. Now I can easily schedule myself, meet deadlines and manage finances – thanks to my college experience. One of the most interesting things about going to a college is meeting people, both students and teachers. The teacher-student relationship prepares one for a manager-employee type relationship.
