He seemed to glow with white light” (7). She really feels she can trust him, and that’s why she accepts to live with him even though she doesn’t know him very well yet. In the dream that they share together telepathically, she feels that she can trust him when he tells her not to move out. “He looked me straight in the eye and he spoke for all the world with the sincerity of someone trying to persuade a murderer to turn himself in” (37). She sees that he’s communicating through the dream with a lot of sincerity and that’s why she feels that she can trust him. After Eriko’s death, she only has Yuichi, but she still feels secure because she trusts him. “But for the time being, ‘just the two of us’ was a warm, safe place where the future was on hold” (62). Mikage feels that being with Yuichi feels very secure and that’s why she trusts him and they are able to share a strong bond.
