Most people under the age of 21 think if they drink it makes them older and it is a way for them to be rebellious against the law. So if the age was lowered it would hopefully veer people in the direction of “Ok now we are allowed to drink so why not just be mature about it.” Young adults under the age of 21 tend to abuse alcohol more when they can, meaning that when there is a chance for them to be able to drink they want to drink a lot because they don’t necessarily know when they will be able to do it again. Also, people have brought up the point of if we are legally adults at 18 and we can get married and vote and be sent of to war to fight for our country we should beadle to go out for a couple of beers with friends. People argue the fact that u can get married but u can’t have a drink at your own wedding? You can even at the age of 18 adopt a kid.
