After you find a recipe that is similar and have typed and printed it off as desired you can start to make the jar. 2. First thing you will need to do is measure out the ingredients. You will need 2¼ cups sugar, 2/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder, 1¼ cup all purpose flour, 1 teaspoon baking powder, and 1 teaspoon salt. You can also add pecans, walnuts, m&m’s or whatever you want. If you do add any of those, just use about ½ a cup. 3. Then, we will need to combine the baking powder, salt and flour in the small mixing bowl and put to the side for later use. 4. Now we start by layering the ingredients into the jar. First, you will pour the sugar at the bottom of the jar and press down firmly. Second, add cocoa powder and press down firmly. Third, if you are going to add any pecans or m&m’s this is when you would pour them into the jar and make sure they are in a even layer. Last, you will add the flour, baking powder and salt mixture. 5. After all the ingredients are layered in the jar we need to add the finishing touches.
