Macbeth knows that he will be betraying Duncan by murdering him. He says, “He’s here in double trust: first, as I am his Kingsman and his subject, strong both against his murtherer shut the door.” Duncan is a good man, which doesn’t deserve to be murdered, describes Macbeth. Macbeth says, “Hath borne his faculties so meek, hath been so clear in his great office, that his virtues will plead like angels.” Lady Macbeth wants Macbeth to carry on with the murder as planned. She questioned Macbeth’s manhood, rousing his emotions. Lady Macbeth says, “Art thou afeard to be the same in thine own act and valor”, she question his courage.
