Beowulf vs Arthur, Leadership qualities

...tics. Beowulf is very impressive physically. It is one of the things that everyone first notices about him. King Arthur is not as powerful as Beowulf. His presence is not felt because of his enormous size, but by is abilities as a leader. Methods of war are very distinguishing differences that separate Beowulf and King Arthur. Most likely, because Beowulf is such a strong warrior, he chooses to go into battle alone or with only a small company of men to assist him. Usually, he is the one who achieves victory by personally killing his foe with his own hands. With the exception of going into battle with the dragon wearing chain mail and carrying a shield, Beowulf prefers hand-to-hand combat with no weapons whatsoever. Also, Beowulf has a hunger for battle. Just shy of being considered war mongering, he always runs to the aid of the less fortunate and strives to prove himself time and again. King Arthur on the other hand, preferred not to go to war. If given the choice, he would have searched for a diplomatic solution. Also unlike Beowulf, he sent large armies to do his fighting for him. He tried to stay out of the battle whenever possible. King Arthur is a fighter that depends more on the technology than on their strength. He always goes into a fight with every advantage he can acquire. King Arthur stood a better chance surviving if he wore his chain mail and carried a shield and a broad sword. Ironically, loved as they both were, Beowulf and King Arthur were betrayed by one or more of their loyal followers. ...
