... works for a crime boss named Bill (David Carradine), who is being hunted down by Black Mamba (Uma Thurman) the bride that he failed to kill years earlier. Budd is now working in a run down strip joint in the middle of Texas. The introduction is not needed, but it does add a bit of irony to his death scene. Some say that the film is similar to director Quentin Tarantino’s hit “Pulp Fiction,” when in fact the movies are very different from each other. The Movies some minor similarities, but “Pulp Fiction” tries to accomplish something totally different. The dialog of “Pulp Fiction” is meaningless it still kept me interested and in the second volume the dialog was very plain and sometimes boring. I sometimes found myself spacing in portions of the film. The films together contain elements used in films from the last 30 years more so in volume 1 than 2. The biggest them from the past would have to be the old martial arts films of the 70’s, which leads to the somewhat dissapointing finally of the movie at Bill’s home.
