My Philosophy
...erstand the universe if one can’t understand themselves, along with their surroundings. Man had to invent fire before the light bulb. Fire and the light bulb are relevant, but far apart in complexity. The universe and people are relevant as well, but also very far apart in complexity. So basically, I believe we have to understand the simpler matters before we attempt a broader one Sometimes it is extremely hard to determine the truth and what is right. I am a Christian, which means I believe that God is the creator and ruler of the universe, and I believe In Jesus Christ. Despite how much sense evolution and science makes, I still hold these beliefs because something, or someone had to make us. A watch is full of complex parts, and so is a computer, or a television set. A person had to make them, we know this for a fact. I believe the most complex thing imaginable is a human in itself. Just the way our minds work, how and what we think about, let alone what it is capable of, is amazing. Why do we find nature beautiful? Why do we enjoy reproduction so much? A wristwatch didn’t come into creation randomly through evolution, so I don’t think life itself did either. I’ve sat through chemistry class and paid attention, so science is real of course, and it raises many arguments over creation. The table of elements itself is a vast complexity, but who is to say that God can’t control that? What is life? The definition at www.dictionary.com states that it is the property or quality that distinguishes living organisms from dead organisms and inanimate matter, manifested in functions such as metabolism, growth, reproduction, and response to stimuli or adaptation to the environment originating from within the organism. So basically, it’s a condition; we’re dead or alive. I find it somewhat funny because basically we as people make life so intricate and difficult before we perish.
