The mayor’s Homelessness Action Task Force determined that almost 26000 people used the shelter system in Toronto in 1996, 26000 people is a lot of people who were homeless at one point or another. I always say to myself, “Where are these people’s families? How do they not have a place to sleep? How could they have not got a job?” This article explained that, a lot of the homeless youth leave home because of their family being disruptive, sexual abused, physically abused, neglect, abandonment, and much more. When you really think about those things, it makes sense in the end. How could someone want to go home after being abused by a parent, or abandoned?
