...e in Fight Club as they are in everyday life. The club serves as a getaway, allowing its members to take out all of their anger on other men until they feel better about themselves. Suddenly, ordinary guys are wild animals with a strong need to break all the rules. Fight Club gives its members the feeling that they can do whatever they want. Because of this, the club becomes a definition of true freedom. Naturally, the feeling of power results in disaster. The club becomes a mini terrorist group and begins to destroy the very aspects that control their consumerist lives. Coffee shops, corporate sculptures and car dealerships are vandalized overnight. Led by Tyler Durden, the club decides that these luxuries serve no purpose but to complicate what should be a simple life. In what seems like the blink of an eye, fight clubs pop up all over the country, and Tyler becomes an underground hero. Suddenly, Fight Club is an army, and Tyler is the general. Because of connections to important figures such as police officers and security guards, the club becomes a symbol of power that almost can’t be stopped.
