This has lead to an increase in demand for language courses; English-speaking citizens are increasingly encouraged and offered training to learn Spanish and Spanish-speaking Hispanics are being encouraged to learn English. The present situation with the global economy means that employers are very tempted to recruit employees with qualifications or experience in a second language, particularly Spanish.
