In one scene, Morgan tries to look for nutrition fact sheets; he is awed at the fact that he cannot find any. This shows how McDonalds neglects to educate its consumer. By eating McDonalds everyday I think it does depict a fair and accurate picture because many people eat McDonalds or fast ford for at lest 2/3 meals. The question in this movie so becomes, not if McDonalds got me fat, because everyone knows it did, but the question becomes who is responsible? The government, the fast food place you went to or is it even he cafeteria you eat at. The government has a lot of responsibility equally shared with the place you eat at; to regulate the industry and to make sure people know what they are eating. After seeing the chicken nugget scene, where they show you in 20 seconds how a chicken nugget is made, makes you wonder if you ever want one again. The government should not hold these people responsible for making people fat. The government should regulate and make sure the fast food places tell us what’s in there food and what the effects are. Cafeterias and schools should definitely not carry these high fat ticketed items like Snapple and soda. These places are the building blocks where we learn these habits that later on can harm us. A school should be a place that educates us on nutrition and daily exercise. The government should also regulate how food advertising is marketed towards the younger crowd. In a few countries, you are not allowed to show young kids under a certain age, certain ads. The ads do something I believe to you mentally. I believe they lure your mind in with flashy pictures to eat the food depicted. After seeing 100s of McDonald’s commercials, every time you pass by a golden arch you think in your head of a bigmac, or some large fries. Pass by a museum or important educational place, less advertised your blow it off. This all ties in the schemed marketing tricks of the fast food and food industry.
