... feels like forever. I figured that we could go to Maria’s and get some Italian food. Sound good? KATE: Definitely! I like Maria’s, their eggplant parmesan is the best ever. My mom makes it all the time, and it’s never as good as Maria’s! ROB: (giggling, knowing that her mom is a very bad cook) I don’t know about that! Your mom can cook some good food, the meatballs we had last Sunday night were pretty good I thought. KATE: Ahhhh! (Trying to change the subject) Anyway, how was work this week? ROB: Pretty good, like I said, slower than usual. People don’t like ice-cream when it gets colder outside, and I think I need to find a different route to take so that I can gain some new customers. It gets pretty boring when you do the same neighborhood ten times a day! How, about yourself? How’s school treatin’ ya? KATE: Same old, I guess. Boring as usual, we learned about all of the president’s since we have the election coming up shortly. My teacher said that if I bring in a sample ballot, he will give us extra credit towards our next exam. I think I told u, I failed the last one, so I need to do this so I can bring my grade up. ROB: (as he finds a parking spot outside Maria’s and shuts off his car) Yea, I think u said something bout that last week, at least you have a chance to earn some extra points. We made it. I am kinda hungry myself! I only had a cheeseburger for lunch this afternoon from Macdonald’s, and it was pretty nasty. The grease gets to me after eating it all the time for lunch. KATE: (giggling, she opens her door and gets out of the car) Hey, did you know that your tire looks a little low over here in the front compared to the back one? ROB: No way!
