Rose doesn’t know how to command an army so he doesn’t do anything. Rose doesn’t like Ender because he was small but he wasn’t mean to him like Bonzo and he puts him into Dink Meeker’s toon. “Your practice sessions with half-assed little launchies are over, Wiggin. Done. You’re in a big boy’s army now. I’m putting you in Dink Meeker’s toon. From now on, as far as you’re concerned, Dink Meeker is God” (100). Ender learns after he is put into Dink’s toon that they need to have toons. Dink tells Ender that Rose didn’t know why his army was winning except that his toon had something to do with it (108).
