Was homecoming worth it?

...se I figured this is my last homecoming and I wanted to be able to dance with who ever I wanted to. “Damn Erncy, looking fresh” that’s what my friends were saying. I walked around saying hi to everyone, then I saw frank and Vanessa together. I knew frank since I was a freshman and this was our senior year. I said to him “Where we going after the dance? You know about any after parties?” he said “I don’t know about any after parties but were all going to meet up at the beach”. Now when I think about it we shouldn’t have gone. I’d been dancing all night, my face was sweating, and it felt as if I stuck my head in a pool. The DJ announced “this will be the last song guys!” I looked around and found the perfect girl for the last dance. She had a caramel complexion about 5’5 and a very nice figure wrapped in a tight but not too tight red and black dress. I ask for the dance she said “yes”. We began to dance slowly and as the song progressed we became gradually closer, singing the lyrics to the song in one another’s ears. The song ended she said “thanks” and walked away. Within seconds she disappeared into the crowd exiting the dance. Someone else would disappear, but forever! I’m driving towards the beach with my ex-girlfriend. We arrived to see a crowd of teens talking and hanging out. I saw frank and asked”Are there any parties tonight?” He said “nah man not tonight” we chilled and hang out there for about an hour, and then everyone began to leave.
