why i love new york
...really big on fashion. Other than a diverse culture, education system and fashion, New York is known to have one of the best and advanced accessible transportation systems in the world. Many people do not feel the pressure to buy a car because you can use public transportation to get you anywhere in the city. From the bus, train, cab, vans, boats or even horse carriage rides, these are examples of the many options you can use to get around New York City. New York is also known to attract a lot of tourist because it has many beautiful sites someone could visit. Although I have seen the skyscrapers in Manhattan many times, I never get used to looking at some of the amazing structures that are built there. Of course New York has many different means of entertainment. From broad-way plays, professional baseball, basketball, hockey, tennis, and many other forms of entertainment you will definitely have the time of your life. From my own personal experience I have gone to plays that draw you right into the performance that will beat any television show. I have seen the New York Mets, New York Yankees, New York Knicks, and Saint Johns University basketball team, which were all really fun to attend. However, the most memorable time I had in the entertainment category was a premiere of the new Godzilla movie. I remember they played it in Madison Square Garden and I had seats in the middle. Within the audience were the stars in the movie, including other celebrities such as P. Diddy and Mohammed Ali. After the movie, I left out of Madison Square Garden and saw P. Diddy and Lil Kim performing on a stage set up outside where a large number of people had surrounded them. The moment that changed my life the most in New York is when I was placed in a group home at the age of 13 where I spent the rest of my teenage years in Rockaway Park, New York. It was located directly off the beach so I often found myself looking into the vast ocean at night. Although many people may think living in a group home as a negative thing I looked at it as a second chance to make whatever I wanted in life. It forced me to open my eyes and see the world for what it really was.
