Many indoor facilities carry the same characteristics as an outdoor facility, but techniques and play strategies vary widely from the outdoor sport. The field is a new synthetic mix of ground -up rubber tire and a new version of astro turf. This surface provides for a quicker and smoother game of soccer. With out any bumps or divots in the ground playing field it allows you to play a game unaffected by the field. The quickness of the game is heightened by an indoor ball, basically a large tennis ball. The ball moves the same, but now has increased speed to it because of the playing fields surface. When kicking the ball, you must wear shoes/cleats but, in indoor you must wear shoes called flats. They are specially made indoor shoes to help you from slipping and tripping. Indoor soccer provides an atmshophere for players to take their level of play to a different stage, while the outdoor season does not permit the player to continue to work on their play when the weather prohibits outdoor play. When the last drop of snow melts it is time to get out your cleats and lace them up. Now that you are going to outdoor you must change your flats to your cleats. Cleats are the shoes that have studs on the bottom of them so they help you find traction in the unpredictable ground.
