... Xbalanque, the Hero twins. The Hero twins caught a rat stealing seeds and the rat told them where they fathers ball equipment was. So they started playing ball, like their elders. This upset the Lords and the tried to sentence them to death but every time they tried the twins would outsmart them. Until the twins tempted the Lords to sacrifice themselves. Then they resurrected their father and uncle into the form of Maize gods. On a different occasion, they confronted the Celestial Bird, Seven Macaw, and his sons, who declared him self as the sun and forced people to worship him. With a blow gun the twins shot out one of Seven Macaw’s teeth causing pain and his grandfather then removed his teeth and eyes to relieve the pain. Once this occurred the people saw him as a mortal .
