It came across to me like something you would hear in a scary movie or at a funeral. “Tu Se Muerte” by Monteverdi has a homophonic texture. I noticed the frequent use of word painting. The song was extremely depressing to me and was one of my least favorite. Vivalsi’s “Spring” and “The Four Seasons” has three movements fast slow and fast. I feel it is a very upbeat almost dance like song. It does have a lull in the middle but maintains a quite positive upbeat tone. I enjoyed the songs of the Baroque period.
