People who suffer from panic attacks have trouble living a relatively normal life. Due to their disorder, they might have trouble doing everyday things that normal people do with no trouble at all. For instance, a persona with social anxiety who suffers from panic attacks would have trouble going to a public place such as a supermarket to get groceries. The reason that person would have trouble is because they might suffer a panic attack while shopping as a result of their fear and may start to sweat and show other signs of a panic attack. This would most likely make that person want to leave right then without finishing their shopping so that they can get out of the situation that they are in. As a result, that person would probably be afraid to go shopping again. Panic attacks can lead to other things such as depression. If someone who is not helped medically that suffers from panic attacks, then they could possible resort to doing drugs or even committing suicide. However, there are ways to treat panic attacks. Medically prescribed drugs can be given to those who suffer panic attacks. Tranquilizers such as Valium and Xanax are commonly prescribed to treat panic attacks. Although they are not effective for depression, tranquilizers have been effective for people with panic disorders.
