The 2nd condition is capacities, which by he means those faculties in virtue of which we may be described as capable of the feelings in question for example anger or pain or pity. The 3rd condition is dispositions, in which he means by it is the state of mind in virtue of which we are well or unwell in respect of the feelings troubled. What Aristotle means of being virtues involves pain and pleasure; he describes this in 4 different ways. One, pleasure has a way making us feel bad, while pain prevents us from doing what is right.
