... B. The leaves suddenly gave way and the ball rushed into the storm drain. Billy quickly dove in after it and splashed into the murky water below. As he tried to stay afloat in the surprisingly deep water, he saw his wonderful ball floating away into the darkness. Using all the speed and power he could muster, he swam after his precious ball. As the current took Billy and his ball downstream, Billy could see a dim light and several shabbily dressed people with nets franticly shouting and trying to capture his ball. Billy grabbed on to the nearest edge he could find and watched these strange people beat each other up over the red ball. Suddenly all the commotion stopped when one of dirty, bearded men was bashed straight into the ground by a giant fist. Billy gasped and the strange men quickly noticed and dove into the water and dragged the struggling boy onto the bank. Billy looked up and saw a huge bearded man adorned with brightly colored balls of all colors and sizes with Billy’s red ball in his massive ape-like hands. 1. Billy defiantly stood up and demanded his ball back from the gigantic man. The giant grunted and shook his head. Billy punched the giant in the knee, thus causing the giant’s leg to spastically kick forward and rip a giant bloody hole through Billy’s body. The giant shrugged and peeled Billy’s corpse off his boot and hung him from the sewer ceiling. The strange bearded men all cheered and each grabbed a ball off the giant and used Billy’s holed corpse to play basketball. 2. Billy trembled and looked at the giant man and timidly asked for his ball back. The giant grunted and muttered some unintelligible word, and all the strange grubby bearded men, started chanting “Duel! Duel! Duel!” over and over surrounding Billy and the giant.
