It is unfair that an artist will deceive their fans into thinking a performance is live when the vocals are pre-recorded. Opposition Lip-synching is very common in performances. Many artists even use electronics to alter their voice in live performance. How is lip-syncing different? People go to performances to see their favourite artist that they idolize; they don’t care if they are actually singing. When artist shows imperfection it hurts they’re career. Many artists would rather lip-synch then have a glitch in their performance (Doug Mitchell). Besides people want to be entertained, they like to see dancing and acrobatics in a performance. When there's a lot of dancing and performing going on, the vocal quality is dramatically affected. An artist would rather give their fans a good show with lots of involved routines and energy then a live performance where they would have to sing. Response: Any performer, who does not sing live, in my opinion, can't sing in the first place. I know I can't sing, but you don't see me in a studio trying to record a song.
