...the farm. This is almost how Sylvia left her home back in California. They both like to keep to themselves and have a low profile. They also enjoy playing hide and seek with each other in the forest. Sylvia also connects with the white heron, because she had the opportunity to tell the young man where the nest is but she didn’t. By doing that, she even lost ten whole dollars. She chose to not tell him just to save the life of a mere white heron. By doing that and choosing not to tell him, she saved a life and also began a new beginning to her own young life. Sylvia relates to the tree because it is alone in the forest, kind of like how Sylvia feels. It also represents the goals that Sylvia has accomplished.
