...s is usually true after reading the “outrage of the week” I was surprised that a Fordham college student who would boast about using his etymological training in the article could be so ignorant. The “Outrage of the Week” was about the multicultural forum that occurred the day before The Ram was published. To try to get people to attend the forum posters were hung up. One of the posters spelt multicultural incorrectly by spelling it “multicural”. By apparently using his “etymological training the author of the article established that although “cural” is not a word that “cura” is meaning inferior breeds; so he concluded that the ethnicities addressed at the forum would be composed of inferior breeds. To me it is clear that writing something like this is offensive and moral inappropriate. What is ironic is not the multicultural was spelt incorrectly but that someone who believed that he was using logical reasoning could be so ignorant an...
