...as ran away Caitlyn will have a chance to live her life, but she is very pessimistic about everything she does, afraid that she is living her sister’s life. Growing up Caitlyn was always a little jealous of her sister, and tried to do the opposite of her. I think that a problem that might come up later in the book will be that even though Cassandra is gone she will still get all of the attention, that Caitlyn always wanted. Before leaving Cassandra gave Caitlyn a book to record her dreams in. Now that Cassandra is gone, the only place they might be together is in their dreams. After reading half of the book, I think that Caitlyn is doing everything that she can to not walk in her sister’s footsteps. Her life seems like it’s becoming more and more in danger. After finishing the book, Caitlyn is really at the end of a horrible life changing experience. She was so strong willed to not follow her sister’s footsteps, that she totally ignored all of her better judgment and was leading a life of abuse, sex, and drugs. I think that now her better judgment will come into play, and now that Cass has returned into her life Caitlyn will live a better life. 2. I defiantly think that the title Dreamland fits the book. Before leaving, Cassandra gave Caitlyn a book to record her dreams in. Now that Cassandra is gone, the only place they might be together is in their dreams. 3. I choose to read this title because is sounds like an interesting book. Dreamland is a place where we all go every night. I thought it would be interesting to read about someone else’s dreams. 4. A connection in the book that reminds me of my own life is that sometimes in my dreams I am with old friends and family that are no longer with me. In the book, Caitlyn’s dreams are the only place that she is with her sister. 5. I think that the most important character in this book is Caitlyn, because she is the closest link to her missing sister. With the title “Dreamland” Caitlyn’s dreams will play a very important role in this book. 6. I really like Boo. She is a little on the wild side, but she is very wise. Boo said that, “Well, that’s a lot of pressure. Being perfect.” Caitlyn thought that she would have to exceed her sister’s goals and footsteps. 7. Caitlyn’s mother kind of reminds me of my own. They are always on top of everything. They are sometimes more on top of my life than me. 8. When Caitlyn stayed wit Rogerson after he abused her, I was shocked.
