Not everyone was not trying to help them, while they were trying to succeed, trials came there way and not all the time could they defeat them. George, Rameck, and Sam made a pact amongst themselves to continue on with their dreams and become successful doctors. In learning communities you must have support, especially with each other because when things get tough and it feels like you can’t go on, then you know you have support from individuals to help you through the trials. George, Sam and Rameck were given the opportunities to participate in school and community activities. These positive activities helped them stay out of trouble and do something constructive with their time. The three doctors went to parties together, studied together, and even worked together. Doing activities in learning communities, you would have to do things with each other to help you stay out of trouble and also it would help the bonding between individuals of the group. I feel as though this is a very important part of a learning community to bond with each other, because you can understand one another when you’re going through trials, meaning you should know how to overcome them together. It should be mandatory that students in schools be in learning communities or a replica of it, because helps develop your communicational skills and other skills needed to succeed in life. The three doctors never gave up, they made a pact with each other and they stuck to that pact and became doctors just as they pledged.
