The Power of King Henry V's speech

After the English have gathered themselves into a group, and are about to attack the walled town again, King Henry gives a final speech to inspire his men, who are badly outnumbered. He begins, “ Once more unto the breach, dear friends, once more, Or close the wall up with our English dead.” Henry then tells his men that it is good to be humble and peaceful in peacetime. In wartime, though, one must become ferocious and live up to his own father’s deeds when he fought. Directing his line of speech to the noblemen, he tells them to set a good example and show the others how to fight.
