...thout thinking of the consequences. When he created the monster he didn’t take ýresponsibility for it and is scared by its hideous appearance, so he abandons the ýfiend. He doesn’t teach the monster anything about life but gives it a first bad ýimpression about mankind. He also does nothing when he knew of Justine’s ýinnocence when she was convicted with the murder of his brother William. Instead ýof facing his mistake and defending the innocent girl in front of the court and ýeveryone, he runs away to the mountains to entertain himself with the scenery ýtrying to forget his faults. The only time I developed some sympathy for him was ýwhen the monster was seeking revenge and killed all of his family especially when ýhe killed his best friend and Elizabeth his wife. ý I have great sympathy for the monster because it wasn’t his choice to be ýcreated and it wasn’t his fault that he was so ugly and hideous. Also he didn’t have ýanyone to guide him or tell him what was right and wrong. In addition society ýrejected and shunned him because of his monstrous appearance therefore leaving ýhim abused and isolated. The monster showed and proved that he was good at the ýbeginning of the story; even after being rejected by a group of people he tries to ýbecome friends with the villagers and help them with their daily duties.
