...ug the Terrible. Smaug had taken all of the treasures of the King under the mountain and left the whole country side in ruins. Smaug then place all of the treasures in the middle of the mountain and guarded them from then on. The King was the leader of the dwarf race and Throng was his descendent and rightful heir of the throne. The soul purpose of this adventure was to retrieve what was rightfully his. These brave dwarfs, along with Bilbo, were guided to the mountain by Gandalf the Grey. Through this journey they faced evil orcs, huge goblins, savage wolves, giant spiders , and worse, unknown dangers. When Bilbo and the gang were in the Misty Mountains, where the Goblins lived, Bilbo found a ring that had the power to make him disappear. He told only Gandalf, but not any of the dwarfs. Along the way the group of dwarfs and Bilbo made enemies and allies. Their enemies were the Wargs(giant wolves), Orcs, and the Goblins. Their allies were the Eagles, Elves, and the Men of Dale. The Men of Dale had aided them by defeating the dragon Smaug. When the gang arrived at the mountain they got word that the Goblins and Wargs were coming to take the treasure and get their revenge. So, Throng sent an Eagle to get help from the Men of Dale. Then the Elves came and wanted 1/12 of the treasure because Smaug had not only taken the King’s treasure , but he had also raided the Elves and took their treasure too(which was not very much). In exchange for the treasure, the Elves would help them defeat the Goblins and Wargs. This battle was called the Battle of the Five Races. This battle began when Kili, which was the look out, spotted the Goblins riding on Wargs at the top of a hill not too far away from the mountain. The army of Dale, the Elf army, and the dwarfs were ready to fight, when behind them came Beorn, which was another friend of Gandalf’s. Beorn was a shape shifter. He was in his human form when he came. He was at least 10 ft. tall with huge arms and legs. On came the Goblins and Wargs. Beorn was first in line and in one huge blow he knocked out 10 Goblins and Wargs that were racing towards him. Bilbo decided to stay out of harms way, so he put on his magic ring and climbed up the mountain to a safe area, or what he thought was a safe area. All of the sudden a rock comes flying thr...
