The imperfections seen in the dad are underscored by the fact that he tries his best, as I interpreted from the last line “when you were moving as fast as you can”. This to me made me think about the genuine qualities that make everyone who they are, but more importantly that someone doing their best is not equated with success. This is a very important lesson to me because it can lead to many misinterpretations in a wide range of social issues of what it truly means to be good as something.
