... paper that I needed to do, which I got a lot of help on. I did great on the paper. Then I got to St. Andrews College. Now all we do is write papers all the time. One of my required classes was writing workshop which I kind of new I would be doing a lot of writing there. When I started this class the first thing I had to do was write a paper, which I did not do so well on at all. I never liked writing not one bit but I knew that sooner or later I was going to have to write papers. In high school I wrote a couple of papers but not many of them, and switching from an all Spanish school to English was a big change for me. I was a bit confused with the writing structure it is a little different. When I first got to this class I did not know what to expect. Except that all I was going to do was write papers. I was kind of glad I was taking this class, because I did not know much about writing essays except for the basics. They made us buy this book for school and it shows all of these different ways to write certain essays which I never even heard of. All the steps you need to know to make a perfect paper. Our first paper we wrote in class was about a place that you admire a lot while you were growing up. That was not much of a challenge for me. It was quite simple but the way I wrote wasn’t very well written. I need to explain things more. I needed to be more specific. That’s where I mess up the most at when I write essays. I don’t give all the specific details. There was one paper that we did do which I had some trouble on and that was the compare and contrast essay about Men and Women.
