...s was my first time writing and teaching an actual lesson. I really enjoyed doing both. The lesson was hard to plan at first, but once I got my ideas collected it was easy to pull together. My lesson was for a second grade classroom in a Syracuse City School. I used Le Moyne College’s lesson plan template standards to write and teach the lesson. I felt that my lesson went very well overall. I know that the students were engaged and learning because they were all attentive and asked and answered questions. The students were successful in reaching the objectives I set for them. They all understood the directions to the assignments and activities. The group work was done correctly. The maps were handed in on time and done neatly. If I was to teach this lesson again I would not use the KWL strategy....
