Based upon a formula utilized by the manufacturer, a forty five to sixty days’ supply of vehicles would be considered adequate for this size dealership. The supply of parts determined to be adequate for a dealership of this size of is based upon the dollar amount on hand divided by the cost of sales for the month to obtain a days supply. A two and one half month supply is considered an adequate days supply. I anticipate utilizing the above formulas to control our inventories and make adjustments as the market changes. The pricing of our products and services will be competitive with area competition. The key to effective to service operations is the repair technician. The goal of Chase Motors is to become proficient in all service repairs and attain satisfactory levels of production/efficiency. Presently, the workload nears capacity. To better manage our workload, technicians work schedule have been prioritized by type of work. A shop foreman has been hired to better supervise technicians and all repair work. Duties will include quality inspections; therefore, reducing the current level of charge backs or re-do’s. The incorporation of a follow-up clerk, hiring additional technician and skill training will enhance our ability to reach our efficiency/productivity goals. Monthly advertising expenditure will be based upon a per car average. This will depend upon the cost of advertising in the market area.
