I believe this is necessary to further my knowledge and understanding of different aspects of society, both past and present. In school I have always taken an active role. I have continually been involved in many different sporting teams. I have been a member of the football side, basketball team, rugby team, athletics squad and cross country running team. I have represented my school in the East Devon and East Devon and Exeter regional sides. Throughout my school life I have constantly been involved in the organisation of sporting occasions for students of different age groups and have continued this outside school by coaching the under 10’s football, at my local after school club. These responsibilities have required me to develop dedication and instilled in me a hard work ethic to succeed. My involvement in the Media course for work experience at my school gave me an invaluable insight in working with other students and co-ordinating a large group. Outside of school I have also been a member of a local philosophy club, which has developed my debating skills. It has enlightened me to many aspects of the different schools of thought, broadening my mind. In my spare time I read on a wide range of topics from sci-fi to modern philosophy.
