My life
... Sana and Sara. I always like looking after them unless they turn into mini tornados that destruct my room bit- by-bit before I know it (which they always do). Anyway, my life has always been full of changes and challenges. This is because of my dad’s job. He is a software engineer and gets posted to different to a lot of countries from time to time. This has definitely affected me and my education. Traveling to different countries is like riding a roller coaster (Figurative Language) which has its own ups and downs. I love the fun of visiting various places; trying new kinds of food and enjoying incredible views and scenarios. But wait, here comes the drawback: moving to different parts of the world and adjusting there takes a lot of time. It also affects my education. I was born in England where my parents came sometime after they got married. Then I came to my own country- India, where I was brought up in my late granddads house. I also lived there with my cousin and his family. When I came back home from school, I would spend my time watching ‘cartoon network’, fighting and playing with my cousin or listening to the same story everyday from my grandma(Magic 3). I guess I had fun back then, I had my friends, my school was really close-by and we also lived together as a whole family. But just then, my dad got a new project for which he had to move to Switzerland for a long time, so we moved with him. It was n’t easy to move at first. We left our house, family and friends. We got settled in an apartment in Switzerland for about four years. I learned German, which was the mother tongue there. It’s a beautiful place to live in, with about 70% of the total land covered by the Alps. The landscape is made of snowcapped mountains, jagged valleys and steep gorges. During the holidays we would visit various places in the Alps. There used to be a fine scent of Alpine flowers and herbs lingering in the air and a faint ting-a-ling of cow and goat bells in our ears as we walked on the mountain paths.(Specific details for effect) But when we wanted to buy the food to eat during our trips, there was not much choice in vegetarian food. We could only eat spaghetti, which I was forced to eat unless we got our own food packed at home. Switzerland is famous for its milk products and so I got to visit chocolate and cheese making factories on school trips.
