Democratic means government in which the supreme power is vested in the people and exercised by them directly or indirectly through a system of representation, usually involving periodically held elections, while democracy is also referred to as a system of government where the leader is chosen by multi-party elections. Democracy is also defined as “an institutional arrangement for arriving at political decisions in which individuals acquire the power to decide by means of a competitive struggle for the people’s.” It is argued that democracy means only that the people have the opportunity of accepting or refusing the men who are to rule them. Democracy is seen by most as a way of having good governance but that is contested. It is argued that democracy is the worst form of government except all other forms that have been tried from time to time.
