Weight fluctuations after quitting: Nibbling on high calorie snacks to replace cigarettes; Having a bigger appetite; Enjoying food more and eating more because the food tastes nicer; Your body may not burn off food as quickly. Solutions: Fill your fridge and cupboards with tasty low calorie snacks such as: Sliced fruit salad, chopped vegetables, low calorie drinks, sugar free gum, low fat yoghurts; Fill up on low fat foods such as pasta, boiled potatoes, fish, wholemeal bread, rice; Remember food is less fattening if it is grilled, baked or boiled; Alcohol is high in calories and may weaken your willpower.
