...re sleeping-in most Sunday mornings, but, I felt a loss, I knew something was missing in our lives, and I wanted my children to grow up in the fellowship of a church family, so we started visiting area churches. In our visits to Dover first Baptist , we were welcomed by warm, friendly people, many of them neighbors, and then we were visited in our home by wonderful Christian men like Osburn Griffin, Foster Dukes and his brothers, Lushen and Roland, Johnny Latner who taught my Training Union class and of course Brother Durrough , good Christian men who were so important in guiding me in my Christian growth. Then, at a week-long revival, I felt a heavy burden lifted as I walked down the aisle and rededicated my life to Christ. Soon after, I joined First Baptist through Baptism .Later , our Pastor Brother Max Cadenhead, told me that before and during the week of revival , many of my church friends had been praying continuously for my family and me.
