Heraclitus Logos

...agments of Heraclitus. First was the co-existence of opposites; an example would be about the fish only being able to live in the ocean where as the ocean water is dangerous to humans. Secondly, there was a stronger relationship between the opposites; an example for that would be a road. It runs up and down, but without one, the other would not exist. Thirdly, a sort of relative of identity, meaning that the Logos is everything (all opposites put together); it is a more powerful claim. To Heraclitus, change is the equilibrium in nature. Logos is referred to as fire by Heraclitus; however I do not believe he was literal about this claim. After reading his criticism toward the mythological thinkers and theorists, making a claim that Logos is literally fire seems too imaginary. Fire is eternally changing while outwardly remaining the same; in my opinion he is using fire as a representation of the phenomena of Logos.
