HIV is thought to be a desendent of Simian Immunodeficiency virus. The researchers from the University of Alabama have suggested that the cross of a Monkey virus to a human occurred from a human killing and eating a chimp. The first HIV infection was discovered in 1959 from an Adult male living in what is now the Democracratic Republic of Congo. AIDS is present in the blood and sexual fluids of any infected person. If any blood, sexual fluid, or breast milk gets into a persons blood stream they have a chance of becoming infected with the virus. A pregnant women can pass HIV to their child before or after birth. HIV can be passed during birth. There are three ways that HIV can be passed through unprotected sex, sharing needles or syringes, and though blood transfusions. Since HIV is found in Sexual fluid it is very dangerous to have sexual intercourse with many partners.
