... If ever he was an inconvenience or an unplanned event and the cause of a major problem, he certainly never new it. Often he thinks of his biological mother and through prayer thanks God for guiding her the way he did in her time of sadness and suffering. He now has his own family and is a productive self supporting member of society. He complete college and adopted five older children as a way to pay back for his blessing. Should not all babies planned or unplanned not have this chance? Any unplanned inconvenient baby today would get at least as good a home probably with every imaginable opportunity. There are so many loops to jump though with social services so as to be accepted as adoptive parents an adopted child is certain to get the very best of parents. The couple’s are screened and checked and re-screened to assure a stable and healthy home. The couple of the above baby, to this day says it was given the greatest gift of all when God placed a baby with them. That many years ago it was common to wait only a year or two to receive a baby once approved. How things have changed as far as using a therapeutic abortion as birth control by making it as simple as having a tooth pulled. Now babies are killed buy the thousands each day and it’s become at least a fifteen year wait to adopt a new born. Thousands of babies murdered daily and their wanted more than could be explained by millions of couples. We have gone from taking a pill to prevent a pregnancy to ripping out a fetus to avoid carrying one to term. Even a non Christian must see that it is simple and correct to teach children not to have sexual intercourse until they are ready to accept the possibility of becoming pregnant but if a pregnancy does occur they should then not be taught that they can run in after school and have it “fixed” and not take responsibility for their actions? Apparently even in a “if it feels good do it” society of a condom culture intellect with pills, gels and all this information were supposed to have, it seems we don’t even understand that if we create a life we must protect it and using abortion is first degree murder. Where has our common sense gone? When the high school has to hunt me down with a vengeance to get permission to medicate my daughter with an “Advil”, but they can help her get an abortion without my even knowing never mind consenting to it. It’s like America is loosing its soul. If you consider act utilitarianism, the consequences of this act are monumental. First, it is plain and simple the killing of a baby. Without a doubt if nature took its course, routinely a baby would be born healthy with an average life expectancy of 81.1 years. Abortion ends a baby’s life by intentionally killing it and all that goes with any life. Second, the proven guilt that a girl lives with afterwards can be debilitating and is a severe consequence. Normal girls with morals do think about their aborted babies daily, forever no matter what pro choice groups say. This is well documented in no bias journals as a medical fact. Some girls have a psychotic break and never fully recover. Thirdly, two million couples at any given time would just be so grateful to have that baby given to them to adopt that they would do or pay anything to get it. Abortion is thereby depriving a couple that can never have a child except by the generosity of a girl not yet ready to be a mother and brave enough not to abort and go through the pregnancy loving her baby enough not to abort it. Another grave result is an innocent baby looses the chance to grow up in a loving family and never gets the chance to become a productive member of society as is his or her right from the moment of conception. It is documented that abortions do go wrong and can result with infections or bleeding that leaves scaring and can leave the women infertile thereby giving another consequence. A consequence of aborting a fetus could be an increase in breast, uterus and ovarian cancer by interfering with the body’s process of gestation. How could these results be of benefit to anyone? Trying to be fair to pro choice people I have searched for just one positive consequence of this act but I’ve been unsuccessful. The lies that a girl might be seduced by are that the pregnancy can be hidden and forgotten buy an easy abortion. Out of sight and out of mind is but a temporary fix that is dangerous and will likely become catastrophic. Considering that all babies are wanted by someone, temporarily “getting rid” of the problem can’t compare to facing your consequences of pregnancy and asking for help to access all supports available (and there are a lot of supports out there). Compared to risking life, mental health and soul the issue should be easily solved by having the baby and giving anoth...
